1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all sales of products and provision of installation or maintenance services by Fleet CCTV & Security LTD (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”). By purchasing our products or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Products and Services
2.1 We supply and install electronic security systems, including but not limited to intruder alarms, CCTV systems, access control systems, and related equipment.
2.2 All descriptions, images, and technical specifications on our website or promotional materials are for guidance only and may be subject to change without notice.
2.3 We reserve the right to substitute equivalent or superior components where necessary.
3. Quotations and Orders
3.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
3.2 An order is only accepted once confirmed in writing by us and any required deposit is received.
3.3 We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.
4. Pricing and Payment
4.1 All prices are in Pounds Sterling (GBP) and exclude VAT unless otherwise stated.
4.2 Payment terms are as stated on the quotation or invoice. Typically:
- For supply and installation: 20% deposit upon order confirmation, balance due upon completion.
- For product-only sales: Full payment prior to dispatch.
4.3 Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4.4 Goods remain the property of Fleet CCTV & Security LTD until full payment has been received.
5. Delivery and Installation
5.1 Delivery dates are estimates only and we shall not be liable for delays beyond our control.
5.2 The customer must provide unobstructed access to the installation site and a safe working environment.
5.3 Additional charges may apply for delays, changes to agreed specifications, or unforeseen site conditions.
5.4 Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery or completion of installation.
6. Warranties
6.1 All new equipment is supplied with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty unless otherwise stated.
6.2 Installation workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion.
6.3 The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Misuse, tampering, or unauthorised repairs
- Power surges, lightning, or other external factors
- Failure to follow manufacturer or installer instructions
6.4 Extended maintenance contracts are available upon request.
7. Maintenance and Monitoring (if applicable)
7.1 Where we provide maintenance or monitoring services, separate terms may apply.
7.2 It is your responsibility to ensure the system is regularly maintained to maintain compliance with insurance and regulatory requirements.
8. Returns and Cancellations
8.1 If you are a consumer, you have a right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, provided the goods have not been installed or used.
8.2 For bespoke or installed systems, cancellations after installation has begun may incur charges for labour and materials.
8.3 Faulty goods will be repaired or replaced in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Liability
9.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.
9.2 We are not liable for:
- Loss of profits, business, or data
- Any consequential or indirect losses
- System failures resulting from external network or power issues
9.3 Our total liability shall not exceed the total price paid for the goods or services supplied.
10. Data Protection and Privacy
10.1 We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
10.2 Any personal data collected will be processed only for legitimate business purposes and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10.3 We may record installation site details, system configurations, or user data for service and maintenance purposes.
11. Intellectual Property
All drawings, designs, software, and technical documentation supplied by us remain our intellectual property and must not be copied, distributed, or used without written consent.
12. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or government restrictions.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
